Day 88: More display ideas for pipe works

Above is a layout image of the PVC pipes and some different types of junctions. I used click and collect, before lockdown I would have gone to one or two Bunnings stores to buy them and probably get everything I needed by browsing. Using online shopping took almost two weeks to collect what I needed. I am still waiting for a message from the store to let me know a time to collect a couple of the different junctions. The way we shop is really changing and I came to realise how easy it used to be. To prepare an exhibition now takes much a longer time planning for physical shows. Who knew we hesitate before we have physical contact with others? Everything is “Contactless” and all the shows and my diligent blog writing is desperately shouting “I would like to be connected and heard by the world” How ironic!

It is not time to give up yet. It is just a little inconvenient and taking longer time to plan. Thanks to that I became more considerate about buying things I need. That's all.

위는 피브이씨 파이프와 몇개의 연결부분을 나열한 이미지이다. 이것들은 버닝스에서 클릭하여 사게되는 시스템으로 구입한 것들이다. 봉쇄조치 이전에야 몇군데 버닝스 스토어를 가서 한꺼번에 다 사들였겠지만 지금은 약 2주간의 시간이 필요했다. 지금도 여전히 버닝스에서 연락이 와서 몇몇 다른 형태의 파이프 연결부분들을 더 골라올 시간을 예약할 수 있다는 메세지를 기다리고 있다. 우리가 쇼핑하는 방법이 정말로 달라지고 있고 이제서야 그 이전의 방법이 얼마나 쉬웠는지를 깨닫는다. 전시회를 준비하는 것도 만약에 그것이 실재로 전시장에서 하는 것이라면 훨씬 많은 시간을 들여야 한다. 우리가 이렇게 육체적으로 다른 사람과 접근을 꺼려하게 될줄은 누가 알았겠는가? 모든것이 “접촉없이” 라지만 모든 전시회나 내 성실한 블로그 쓰기는 “나는 세상과 연결되고 싶고 통하고 싶다”라고 절실하게 외치고 있는 셈이다. 참 반어적 이긴 하지만 아직은 포기할 때는 아니다. 조금 불편하고 시간이 많이 걸릴 뿐이다. 덕분에 쇼핑을 할 때 좀더 신중하게 되었다. 그것뿐이다.
