Freestyle & Bubbles

Freestyle & Bubbles

In “Freestyle” and “Bubbles” I have used perforated mild steel and brass to make forms using two different styles.

Both are inspired by swimming, which physically and psychologically influences my daily routine.

Freestyle shows the way I read the geometric body movement flowing in and out of water. Our body draws incredible lines and volume when it goes forward against water accelerating speed and the constant movement is illustrated as movable 17 units of chain in this necklace.

In contrast to freestyle Bubbles is designed to reflect the organic forms that are made in water. Using the patterns of perforation of mild steel I made each unit to look like bubbles as they float to the surface.
