Day 60 : Work 60. Perforated cup with cactus.

Day 60 : Work 60. Perforated cup with cactus.

These earrings are combining my signature perforated half sphere in silver and the interesting shape looking like cactus from another perforated mildsteel sample sheet I collected many years ago. The shape of perforation is really good enough to be cactus shape for earrings and to be necklace chain powder coated or silver casted. Again white and matt black combination for Christmas earring show in Sydney.

I think I will make some more of similar earrings for Christmas stock in different galleries.

I have been making these geometric mix earrings for a long time and the way I thought it would work at the stage of design developing still works after I finished making makes me quite contented. I can say this is the way I try to achieve everyday at the bench. Let’s see how people respond now.

This is Christmas time so I can’t help producing something which needs full stop rapidly but I would love to make some piece which will be a bunch of geometric forms and shapes one by one to be next to each other creating more exciting thing in a bigger scale. (make sense?)
